Read for information. Write for understanding.

Reading is the most difficult thing the brain learns how to do.  Writing is the second.  So, it seems that readers and writers enjoy the “hard” stuff.  Other neuro-calisthenics include such things as thinking, evaluating, analyzing, summarizing, and sundry cognitive endeavors.  Hopefully, the content here and more deeply discussed in formal publications will stimulate those higher-order intellectual functions.

Enjoy!
